Visiting Polyface Farm

On August 12, 2010 Amy and I toured Polyface Farm (with Chad and Zach in tow). Despite the heat, it was a great experience. The tour costs $10.50 and lasts two hours. Lead by Joel Salatin himself, the tour winds through the overgrown farm and makes stops at the pigs, chickens, turkeys, cows, and rabbits. It was really interesting to listen to Joel comment on many of the points highlighted in the documentary Food, Inc. I would definitely recommend anyone take the tour… and bring your wallet so you can buy some delicious, humanely raised meat afterwards.
